The largest park that Craiova has (third in Europe and second in Romania), the Nicolae Romanescu park is a historical area which includes green space, a hippodrome, a lake and a zoo. In 2015 the park went into rehabilitation with money allocated by the EU (1).

Description of environmental benefits
This NBS did not report impacts publicly, but probably since it was financed with money from the EU, there are documents pertaining to benefits, but are not reachable by the general public. There is a monitoring document that includes goals and explains what indicators should be followed, however it is not a report of the impacts. In any case, in the implementation phase there were expectations related to the increase of green space area in the city, through this NBS. It was also mentioned in the press that the NBS helped with the maintenance of 571,460.30 sqm tree areas and ​​121,968.00 sqm of grassy areas (1 and 3).
