Goals of the intervention
1. Protect and conserve biodiversity;
2. Refuge for species and buffers against the impact of climate change;
3. To offer a place to exercise and improve physical and mental wellbeing;
4. To stimulate the recreation and tourism industries, and to be a source of employment for the local community;
5. To offer pollution abatement and cooling;
6. To increase property value in the area (1,2,3).

Quantitative targets
1. Provide 80 jobs (1)
2. Set up 3 fields: football, volleyball and tennis (1)
3. Build 2 Water slides starting at a height of over 9 meters and 90 meters long and 3 water slides, starting from over 4 meters high and having a track length of 21.5 meters (1)
4. Asphalt 12 km of alley (3)
5. Install lighting poles on the 30.000 sqm surface of the are(1)

Implementation activities
Work started by digging, planting of decorative trees, landscaping for grass zones , installation of aesthetic and ambient lighting. The work was conducted during winter time as well. (1)

This NBS is completely new due to its size - a 60 ha park- and the innovations brought to improve this area such as swimming pools, tennis courts which in the end are part of a larger green complex which was not transferred to other parks or green spaces in Craiova (1)
