Goals of the intervention
This intervention is part of a larger regional urban regeneration initiative, called the Urban Initiative, which includes the following objectives (Ref 2):
1. Integration of urban activities with economic and social activities, with the goal of improving the urban environment and quality of life of citizens.
2. Exchange of knowledge and experiences among all partner cities of the Program.
3. Encourage a novel model of comprehensive management of cooperation between different Areas and services of the administration.
4. Adjust investments within a certain timeframe and complying with requirements.
5. Encourage new forms of citizen participation with co-responsibility in the Actions between administrations and society.
6. Continuity and follow up of the actions undertaken.

2001-2005- Phase 1, of Historic City Center rehabilitation project, in 2005 the vertical garden and accompanying mural were completed.
