Community satisfaction
Description of locals satisfaction with the project
- Restoration and relaxation: “No matter how busy I am, I always go out to see the autumn, the blue sky and white clouds to restore energy and heal your body and mind” (Ref 15).
- Recreation: "There are not many people here, whether you are taking a walk or bringing your children, you can come here by yourself and it is also very chill. There are many beautiful decorations and many popular camera positions" (Ref 13); "Didn’t expect we could camp here. …Free parking and Toilets just nearby. So many people fishing here during weekends. Find a good spot for yourself and it’s a perfect place to drink tea, chat, eat snacks and fruits very comfortably" (Ref 14).
- Physical exercise: "Here, you can run a few laps along the lakeside running track and exercise every day" (Ref 12).
- Social interaction: "Here, you can play games with your children and enjoy family time together. Here, after dinner, you can walk around the park with your family" (Ref 12).
- Unclear boundary with farmlands: "Came to Baisha River Park for a walk. Everything was normal at first, but then it became more and more desolate along the lake, with grass half a person tall.
Later I walked into someone's vegetable field. Below the City of Flowers are many farmers' private plots.
I came back covered in sticky grass, and sat on the side of the road to pull it out for half an hour.
In conclusion, half of the park has not been repaired yet. Don't walk along the lake, just play around while selling things. Anyway, I won't come again within 5 years" (Ref 16).
